<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable crystal oscillator capable of forming a ground metal layer for forming an electrode on a vibration reed, and a surface metal layer with satisfactory adhesiveness in a piezoelectric vibrator having a ground metal layer exposure section in the electrode on the vibration reed. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the piezoelectric vibrator includes: a first ground metal layer formation step of forming a ground metal layer at a position corresponding to the ground metal layer exposure section; a second ground metal layer formation step of forming the ground metal layer at a position that corresponds to an excitation electrode and an electrode for fixing and excludes the ground metal layer exposure section after the first ground metal layer formation step; and a surface metal layer formation step of forming the surface metal layer on the ground metal layer formed by the second ground metal layer formation step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
