METHOD FOR PREDICTING METASTASIS OF ORAL CAVITY CANCER TO CERVICAL LYMPH NODE AND DIAGNOSTIC KIT USED FOR THE PREDICTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting possibility of a cervical lymph node metastasis of each symptom diagnosed as an oral cavity cancer in early stages and objectively. SOLUTION: The method for predicting metastasis of an oral cavity cancer to a cervical lymph node comprises a process for assaying an expression amount of metastasis prediction gene group in which an expression amount changes between a metastasis group composed of cases of metastasis of an oral cavity cancer to a cervical lymph node and a nonmetastasis group composed cases of nonmetastasis for samples collected from a primary lesion of an oral cavity cancer and a process for predicting the possibility of metastasis of an oral cavity cancer to a cervical lymph node by comparing the expression amount of the metastasis prediction gene group with the expression amount of the metastasis prediction gene in a metastasis group and/or a nonmetastasis group.
