<p>A light weight aggregate material and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to allow the recycling of waste coal ash as a building material with higher quality by using polishing sand and to show effects favorable to human such as far infrared rays emission. A light weight aggregate material comprises 45-55 wt% of polishing sand, 40-50 wt% of coal ash and 4-6 wt% of red mud. The light weight aggregate material is manufactured by the steps of refining the polishing sand and the coal ash, followed by crushing into powder and selecting; admixing the red mud to the resulting polishing sand and coal ash to form an admixture; heating the admixture at a temperature of 1150-1200 deg.C for 15-17 minutes; and cooling the heated admixture at a normal temperature.</p> |
