PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing nonwoven fabric in which the melt-blown nonwoven fabric is simply processed thereby its filtration performance is improved. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the filter medium, the web formed by melt-blowing is processed with drawing up by 1.05 to 1.5 times in the crosswise direction to the machine body at normal temperature to 80°C.
