<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that can promptly acquire a printer driver of the latest version and can easily install it in host devices, which use a printer, without installing a network server serving to deliver printer drivers on an internal network. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 80 is provided with a TCP/IP client function such that it can spontaneously access an external server device 9 serving to deliver printer drivers, via a second network 411 (external network), to download a printer driver, and with a TCP/IP server function such that it can deliver the printer driver stored in a printer driver storage means to the host devices 3 via a first network 410. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
