<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a movable body such as an automatic door capable of achieving high convenience properties without requiring complicated operation while keeping safety in operation of the movable body. <P>SOLUTION: This controller for the movable body is provided with a detection means for detecting contact of the movable body with an object and a separation determining means for determining that the object is separated from a condition in which the object is in contact with the movable body by inputting a signal of the detection means. When it is determined that the object is separated from the movable body while the movable body moves, moving of the movable body is continued. Preferably, the detection means is a flexible piezoelectric sensor provided in a peripheral fringe part of the movable body. The separation determining means determines whether the object comes into contact with the movable body or is separated from it based on polarity of a signal of the detection means. This controller can be applied to a slide door, a rear door, a trunk lid, an uplift type window, a sunroof, and an opening and closing wing for load-carrying platform of a vehicle as the movable body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
