PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a channel search to the end even in an environment where a connection status of radio communication is adverse, and further to shorten a search time in a television receiver with a built-in radio communication apparatus. SOLUTION: A television receiver comprises a tuner unit 101 which receives a broadcasting wave, selects a channel and extracts a video signal, and a monitor unit 102 which performs radio transmission with the tuner unit 101 and displays a video signal. In such a television receiver, the tuner unit 101 monitors a radio transmission status, stores a result of channel search by a channel search unit 104 into a storage unit 105 when radio transmission is disconnected, and transmits the result of the channel search stored in the storage unit 105 to the monitor unit 102 via a tuner radio unit 108 when the disconnected radio transmission is connected. Thus, even if radio transmission is disconnected in the middle, the search can be performed to the end and further, time reduction is enabled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
