PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader by which personal information is appropriately managed. SOLUTION: The scan reading of an original is performed (S300). Personal information (such as a name) in read data is detected (S301). Personal information corresponding to the detected personal information is retrieved from a data storage part and both pieces of information are compared with each other (S302).
