PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a decrease in image quality and to prevent a wire from being broken by preventing stress from a support plate or circuit board from being transmitted to a liquid crystal display panel through protection resin to cause distortion of glass or variation in gap of the liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises: the liquid crystal display panel 8 constituted by holding a liquid crystal layer in the gap between two substrates disposed opposite each other and sealing the liquid crystal layer with a sealing compound; the circuit board 3 which is electrically connected to the liquid crystal display panel 8 by wire bonding; and a base member 4 which holds the liquid crystal display panel 8 and the circuit board 3, wherein the hardness of the protection resin 2 protecting the wire 1 formed by the wire bonding is larger than 0 in terms of penetration.
