<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of accurately calculating the cell positional information at the end face of a honeycomb structure. <P>SOLUTION: In this method, the end face 861 of the honeycomb structure is imaged by a camera part, and the positional information of the cell 88 is calculated by the imaged image data. In the imaging process, multiple regions S1-S9 divided to overlap each other at boundary parts of adjacent regions with each other at the end face 861 are imaged by the camera part for each region. In an image processing process, the positional information of the cell 88 at the overlapping part e.g., S12, of the boundary parts of the adjacent regions is calculated based on the image data of the respective regions obtained in the imaging process for the same cell 88. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
