PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate-like body for a window with framework and a manufacturing method thereof capable of eliminating a clearance between a plate-like body for a window and a framework without raising manufacturing accuracy of the plate-like body for a window and the frame work as a part unit. SOLUTION: In this method, an edge part of a side glass 12 is fitted in a recessed part 24 of a resin framework 18, and a garnish 16 is fitted to the resin framework 18 by using projecting parts 26, 28 and recessed parts 30, 32. In the plate-like body 10 for a window manufactured by this method, since the resin framework 18 is not seen from the outside of a car body because of existence of the garnish 16, outside design is improved, and the garnish 16 is positioned to eliminate a clearance between a lip molding 22 and the outer surface of the side glass 12 by elastic deformation of the resin framework 18 when the resin framework 18 is fitted to the garnish 16.
