SURFACE LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND TRANSLUCENT DISPLAY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device having the emission property changing smoothly and high front brightness and avoiding the generation of moire, and a translucent display apparatus.

SOLUTION: A diffusion sheet 16 having fine projection parts on the emission side is arranged on a light control sheet 15 on its emission side. The diffusion sheet 16 is formed by coating diffusion material on the surface of the transparent base film 16a. Minute beads of the diffusion sheet 16 demonstrates lens effect to provide condensing effect and diffusion effect. Thus, the emission property changes smoothly, the front brightness becomes higher and generation of moire is avoided.
