<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a link aggregation service and a maintenance service by MPLS OAM. <P>SOLUTION: The same entry information is stored in the tables of lines IFs 11 and 12 where LAG is set. By this setup, even the different IFs are multiplexed to the same LSP. The line IF 11 is set at OAM ACT, and the line IF 12 is set at OAM SBY (standby). Insertion processing of OAM frames is carried out only through an OAM ACT port. By this setup, the opposed MPLS communication devices are prevented from receiving CV frames more than a prescribed number. A switch transfer table is set so as to transfer frames from a network to the line IF 11 of OAM ACT. The line IF 12 set at OAM SBY does not detect faults through the receiving of CV frames.
