PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wire type window regulator which comprises a guide rail vertically fixed into a vehicle door, a slider ascendably/descendably supported on the guide rail, a windowpane fixed to the slider via a fixing member, a driving wire connected to the slider and vertically elongated from the slider and a wire driving mechanism for hoisting/lowering the windowpane integrally with the slider via the driving wire, which can smoothly slide the slider, and which hardly loosens the fixing member for fixing the windowpane and the slider together. SOLUTION: This wire type window regulator has a positional relationship in which a straight line connecting the axis lines of the upper and lower driving wires crosses the fixing member. The driving wire, which is vertically elongated from the slider, is connected to a single wire end member; and the wire end member, the slider and the windowpane are co-fastened to one another by means of the fixing member.
