PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To the identify a substances that play a role in controlling brain amyloid-β(Aβ) levels in vivo. SOLUTION: A kit for predicting the possibility of an amyloidosis increase in a test subject includes a means for observing the level of an estrogen compound in the subject. A reduction in level of the estrogen compound in the subject compared to a normal level or an initial level of the subject is the indicator of the possibility of the amyloidosis increase in the subject.
