PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide concrete blocks which can be laid up tightly without creating gaps between them by using only one kind of unit block even for making a carved and sloped wall surface. SOLUTION: A standard concrete block 1a has a top surface portion 2a and a bottom surface portion 3a which can be laid to horizontal surfaces with an uniform joining state maintained between upper blocks and lower blocks even though an upper course of blocks laid above a lower course of blocks is deviated to the right or left; a front wall portion 4a and a rear wall portion 5a are so formed as to be slanted rearward along a sloped surface in the case of standard blocks 1a. Moreover, a convex side wall portion 6a and a concave side wall portion 7a are respectively formed to a convex carved surface and a concave carved surface corresponding to a part of a peripheral wall surface of a cylinder having the same diameter extended vertically with respect to a horizontal surface. In this way, even standard blocks 1a adjacent to each other can be turned relatively within the horizontal plane, the side surfaces to be jointed together are kept to a state of surface contact and thus an external curve and an internal curve can be easily formed without gap created between them.
