PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch mechanism of an electric lock which ensures engagement and disengagement between a clutch gear and engaging claws interlocking with a clutch plate. SOLUTION: In the structure of the clutch mechanism of the electric lock, the clutch plate and the engaging claws are combined with the clutch gear, and one end of each engaging claw is axially supported via an interlocking means on the clutch plate while the other end of the same is engaged with and disengaged from ratchet teeth formed in a recess of the ratchet gear. When the clutch gear is rotated in a predetermined direction by receiving a driving force from a driving motor, the other end of each engaging claw is engaged with the ratchet teeth, and therefore the clutch plate is rotated together with the clutch gear. On the other hand when a driving force from a tumbler is transmitted via a driving arm to the clutch plate, the other end of each engaging claw is not engaged with the ratchet teeth, and therefore the clutch plate is rotated at least through a predetermined stroke.
