PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a filamentous fungus producing spores having low viability by decreasing the stress resistance of spores of the filamentous fungus becoming a host of transformation so as to make the spores of the filamentous fungus scattered to the outside of a controlled zone, become extinct easily, and the filamentous fungus producing the spores having low viability. SOLUTION: This method for reducing the viability of the filamentous fungus comprises a process of deleting or varying the whole or a part of coding region of atfA gene encoding a transcription-regulating factor protein of the filamentous fungus to reduce the viability of spore of the filamentous fungus.
