FUEL SUPPLY APPARATUS OF LIQUEFIED GAS CARRIER AND THE METHOD THEREOF

A fuel supply apparatus of a liquefied gas carrier and a method thereof are provided to prevent environmental contamination due to exhaust of harmful gas by not incinerating naturally vaporized gas to control pressure inside a cargo tank. A fuel supply apparatus of a liquefied gas carrier includes a compressor(108), a compressed gas storing tank(114), and a decompression device(116). The compressor compresses gas fuel naturally vaporized from a cargo tank(100) or separately supplied to use as fuel in high pressure. The compressed gas storing tank stores the compressed high pressure gas. The decompression device decompresses the high pressure gas fuel ejected from the compressed gas storing tank into pressure suited to a propulsion engine. The fuel supply apparatus of the liquefied gas carrier further includes first/second/third/fourth valves(104,106,110,112). The first valve is installed on a pipeline between the cargo tank and the propulsion engine. The second valve is installed on a pipeline connected to the compressor. The third valve is installed on a pipeline between the compressor and the compressed gas storing tank. The fourth valve is installed on a pipeline connected to the decompression device.
