The harness e.g. bridle (1), has an elastic return unit formed by elastic band, extending to displace a fixation unit (4) by a lever effect bit i.e. bridle bit (5), when a traction force is applied on the unit (4) for damping pressure exerted by a headstall (2) on nape of an animal i.e. horse. The return unit returns to its initial position, when force is not applied on the unit (4). Tension of the return unit is such that the return unit extends when the force applied on the unit (4) is greater than a stress threshold and remains in the position when the force is less than the threshold.
