A mobile terminal for receiving digital broadcasting and a horizontal video maintaining method thereof are provided to display a digital broadcasting video horizontally on the ground irrespective of the rotation angle of a screen, thereby enabling a right-handed person and a left-handed person to watch conveniently digital broadcasting by using the same mobile phone. A horizontal video maintaining method for a mobile terminal comprises the following steps of: receiving a digital broadcasting signal and outputting the digital broadcasting video(S373,S377); and displaying horizontally the outputting digital broadcasting video on a screen irrespective of a location of the screen on the ground(S385).
