A refrigerator having a damper unit is provided to reduce manufacturing costs of the damper unit, as an opening/closing plate is opened and closed by one-way rotation of a rotary cam rotated by an AC motor which rotates in one direction. A refrigerator comprises a damper unit(30) for opening and closing a cool air passage(21). The damper unit comprises an opening/closing plate(31) rotatably mounted to the cool air passage, a rotary cam(32) mounted aside the opening and closing plate having a cam groove(35) which is eccentric to the center of rotation, an AC(Alternating Current) motor(33) rotating the rotary cam, a connecting shaft(36) extending from the opening/closing plate to enter the cam groove of the rotary cam, and an elastic member(34) rotating the opening/closing plate in a closing direction of the cool air passage.
