An optical component bowing device, an optical device, an optical scanning device, and an image forming apparatus are provided to reliably bend an optical component by preventing a weight from being focused on the optical component. An optical device includes an optical component, a twist moment generating structure, and an adjusting unit. The optical component forms or reflects an optical beam. The twist moment generating structure generates a twist moment on a portion to be supported of the optical component. The adjusting unit adjusts the twist moment of the twist moment generating structure and adjusts a bending amount of the optical component. An image forming apparatus(12) includes plural image sustainers, the optical components, the twist moment generating structure and the adjusting unit. The image sustainer generates a latent image, which is formed by scanning the optical beam. |
