The device has a flap (4) moving between a retracted position in which the flap is placed in a housing, and a deployed position in which the flap is arranged behind a wheel and is oriented toward the ground. The flap is connected to a tilting piece (6) by a connecting unit (5) and facilitates rotational movement around an axis (Z) of the wheel or of a wheel housing (2a). The tilting piece rotatably drives the flap in reverse direction around the axis of the wheel for deploying the flap.
