<p>A mobile terminal in which a plurality of SIM(Subscriber Identity Module) cards are installed and a network registration method thereof are provided to enable a user to select and use the optimum service according to the network condition of each service area by displaying a list of channels according to the Rx levels of base station signals so that the user can directly select a desired channel, activating a SIM card which services a selected channel, and executing network registration through the activated SIM card. If system power is supplied to a mobile terminal(S10), a control part receives base station signals through an RF(Radio Frequency) module and searches for all usable channels of service providers through the SIM cards installed in the mobile terminal(S12). The control part confirms the Rx levels of the received base station signals, aligns radio channels according to their states, and displays a radio channel list(S14,S16). If the user selects a radio channel from the displayed list(S18), the control part initializes the present state of the mobile terminal(S20) and activates a SIM card which services the selected radio channel(S22). Then the control part transmits associated SIM data through the RF module and requests a service provider, which services the radio channel, to perform network registration(S24).</p> |
