An exterior UV index display device is provided to discriminate colors displaying hazard of UV rays to readily inform the general public of the current UV state. An exterior UV index display device includes a support frame(10), a UV sensor part(20), a color display part(30), and a controller(40). The UV sensor part is installed at the upper part of the support frame to detect UV rays arriving at the ground surface. The color display part represents a UV index as colors depending on a signal detected by the UV sensor part. The controller supplies power to the UV sensor part and the color display part and converts the signal detected by the UV sensor part into a UV index display signal. The UV sensor part includes a UV sensor protection pipe(21), and a sun visor(23).
