A top-down type of curtain and a driving device of the curtain are provided to operate the curtain that an ascending and descending width is large by a small sized device, and to reduce noise in operation. A driving device of a top-down type of curtain includes: a head rail(1) having a motor(28); a screw pole(23) installed in a longitudinal direction of the head rail, and having a screw thread formed on the outer periphery; and a rotary pole(25) moving along the screw pole by being rotated by a rotary power of the motor, and having an insertion hole formed in a longitudinal direction from the center of one side and having an engagement part engaging with the screw thread of the screw pole by being formed on the inner periphery, and a winding part formed on the outer periphery so that an operation line(21) is wound. |
