THE MULTI-CARRIER HSDPA CHANNEL ESTABLISHING METHOD AND THE MULTI-CARRIER DOWNLINK PACKET DATA TRANSMITTING METHOD

The multi-carrier HSDPA channel establishing method and the multi-carrier downlink packet data transmitting methods are disclosed in the invention. The channel establishing method includes: A: determining the number of channel resource in the cell for HSDPA; B: looking for N carriers from the cell based on the number of channel resource requested by step A, the said N carriers combining the cell's HSDPA channel resource; C: assigning the HSDPA channel resource in the cell as the HS-DSCH channels and the uplink and downlink control channels; D: when the user terminal originates HSDPA request and the request is permitted, the network side allocates the HS-DSCH channel used by the terminal and the HS-SCCH channel monitored by the terminal, and also the corresponding HS-SICH channel. The channel establishing method could be used in the multi-carrier downlink packet data transmission, and the peak transmission rate of the user's packet data is increased, thus the resource optimization is accomplished and the resource throughput of the system is improved. ® KIPO & WIPO 2008
