A handle pulling type unlock device of a sliding door is provided to reduce wear on an assembled part by rotating a latch by transmitting power through engagement of gears. In a handle pulling type unlock device of a sliding door(31), an operating member hung to or released from a striker fixed with a doorpost is elastically installed in a housing and moves down as a latch turns. A stopper member for holding a released state from the striker is installed at one end of the operating member. A body(41) is mounted at one side of the sliding door. One end of a handle(42) is rotatably installed at the body. A power transmitting unit(43) for turning the latch by changing a linear motion into a rotary motion by pulling the handle is disposed on the other end of the handle. An elastic member(44) for returning the handle to the initial position in removing an external force of the handle is installed in the body.
