摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock regenerating device which regenerates a clock of stable frequency even in case of fluctuations of packet transmission delay. <P>SOLUTION: The clock regenerating device comprises: a moving average calculating means of calculating a moving average of the amount of data stored in a buffer, as a calculation period a cycle which is an integral multiple of a cycle of packet transmission; a means of calculating an average value of moving averages of the amount of stored data; a clock frequency control means of controlling a clock frequency that a clock oscillator outputs based upon the average value; and a variation decision means of calculating a value indicating variation in new moving average of the amount of stored data when the moving average calculating means calculates a new moving average of the amount of stored data, and deciding whether the new moving average of the amount of stored data is used to calculate the average value based upon the value indicating the variation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
