A flat display device is provided to reduce a thickness of the flat display device by arranging electronic parts of a flexible printed circuit board on an etching region of a substrate. A flat display device includes a substrate(10), a confronting member(12), a display unit(11), a supporting member(17), and a flexible printed circuit board(14). The confronting member is contacted to be opposite to the substrate. The display unit is located between the substrate and the confronting member. The supporting member supports the substrate, the display unit, and the confronting member. The flexible printed circuit board is electrically connected to the display unit, and has electronic parts. An etching region is formed on the opposite plane to the electronic parts of the substrate and the opposite member. The electronic parts of the flexible printed circuit board is arranged on the etching region. |
