PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the occurrence of the abnormal leakage of a working fluid in a brake actuator. SOLUTION: The brake control device is provided with a wheel cylinder for imparting a brake force to a wheel by the supply of the working fluid, a wheel cylinder pressure control system including a control valve for controlling the supply and delivery of the working fluid to the wheel cylinder, and a brake ECU for controlling the wheel cylinder pressure control system so that wheel cylinder pressure approaches target pressure. When an index showing an operation frequency of the control valve exceeds an allowable range, the brake ECU determines the occurrence of the abnormal leakage causing the continuous flow-in/out of the working fluid to the wheel cylinder, and shifts its mode to a regulator mode.
