SKIN FUNCTION-IMPROVING AGENT CONTAINING gamma-AMINOBUTYRIC ACID AND SPHINGOLIPID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin function-improving agent enabling oral ingestion and exhibiting high effect in an amount of daily taking it and increasing moisturizing function and barrier function of the skin and preventing and improving skin trouble such as dry skin and atopic dermatitis.

SOLUTION: A composition having skin function-improving action is obtained by extracting a waste material (TOBIKO) discharged in production process of devil's tongue with ethanol to provide sphingolipid-containing powder and culturing Lactobacillus brevis by using, as a culture medium, a material obtained by adding yeast extract and sodium glutamate to a liquid obtained by extracting pulverized asparagus with water and obtaining γ-aminobutyric acid-containing powder from the cultured filtrate and then mixing the sphingolipid-containing powder with the γ-aminobutyric acid-containing powder.
