<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a range change operation from a P range, by reducing an engaging load by small torque output or without torque output to a parking gear of an automatic transmission. <P>SOLUTION: Driving wheels 12 and 14 are put in a restricted state before parking lock releasing load reducing processing, and when a parking lock releasing load reducing request is made from a P releasing button 40, torque is imparted in the direction for reducing the engaging load of the parking gear and a parking pole by an electric motor 48. Foot brake braking force is reduced up to further rotating the parking gear. The parking gear is rotated at a required angle even by small torque without causing excessive torsion in an output shaft 6 of the automatic transmission 4 by this braking force reduction. Thus, the problem is solved by reducing the engaging load by meshing of the parking gear and the parking pole. The torque output may be eliminated by arranging a clutch in the output shaft 6 instead of the electric motor 48. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
