LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

摘要

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to form a pixel electrode in a prism shape to prevent an aperture ratio from decreasing and divide the pixel electrode into multiple domains so as to improve the viewing angle of the LCD. An LCD includes a first insulating substrate, thin film transistors and a pixel electrode(160). The thin film transistors are respectively formed at intersections of gate lines and data lines formed on the first insulating substrate, and the pixel electrode is connected to each of the thin film transistors. The lateral side of the pixel electrode is bent and the top side and the bottom side of the pixel electrode are perpendicular to the lateral side thereof. The pixel electrode includes a pixel electrode cut pattern(167) formed along the direction of the gate lines in order to divide a liquid crystal layer into a plurality of domains.
