ACTUATOR LATCH SYSTEM FOR HARD DISK DRIVE

An actuator latch device for a hard disk drive is provided to improve reliability of locking operation by reducing the amount of rotation impact in contact of a notch and hooks. An actuator latch device for a hard disk drive comprises a notch(152), and a latch lever(160). The notch is formed at one end of a swing arm of the hard disk drive. The latch lever, rotated in a base member, consists of two hooks to block rotation of the swing arm by interference of the notch at one side. The two hooks have a first hook(162), and a second hook(163). The gap between the first hook and the notch is less than that between the second hook and the notch.
