<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently identifying domestically-produced beef from imported Australian beef by using actually sold beef as material. <P>SOLUTION: As the result of examination of polymorphisms useful for classification of domestically-produced beef from imported Australian beef, the method for identifying domestic cattle from imported cattle from Australia comprising using BIMA100 gene and BIMA118 gene polymorphisms found by an AFLP method and ND4 gene polymorphism, ND5 gene polymorphism, SRY gene polymorphism and MC1R gene polymorphism as indexes and combining them is found to be extremely useful. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
