<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which has excellent heat resistance and is capable of efficiently removing nitrogen oxide and to provide a method for removing nitrogen oxide by using the catalyst and an apparatus for removing nitrogen oxide, which is provided with the catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: A compound oxide contains cerium oxide of 15-30 wt.%, titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, tungsten oxide of ≥5 wt.% and a sulfate radical (a sulfate ion: SO<SB>4</SB><SP>2-</SP>) and is excellent in catalytic activity (the capacity of removing nitrogen oxide in the presence of ammonia) and heat resistance. Therefore, the catalyst containing cerium oxide of 15-30 wt.%, titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, tungsten oxide of ≥5 wt.% and the sulfate radical is useful in removing nitrogen oxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
