PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for identifying and managing corrosion, and to provide a method related to the system. SOLUTION: This system identifies and manages the corrosion potential on the structure of an assembly by measuring "relative corrosion index" (RCI). A parameter that gives rise to the corrosion is identified, and their relative contributions to the furthering of the corrosion is incorporated into a computer-based system that is easily distributed. The computer program enables a user to calculate the RCI (relative corrosion index) about the assembly by using a single tool. The outline of the RCI about all the combinations of material can be provided, and this can be calculated based on the data of the material and the environment input by the user.
