摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device for preventing metallic plating from being discolored in a light reflection region where metallic plating has been carried out in the light emitting element array of an optical semiconductor device, and for preventing the reflecting efficiency of the rays of light in a region in the neighborhood of light emitting elements; and to provide a method for manufacturing it. <P>SOLUTION: This optical semiconductor device 100 is configured so that at least a portion of a light emitting element array where light emitting elements 12 are arrayed can be sealed with optical transparent sealing resin 14 generated under the existence of metallic salt compound, and that a first metallic coating layer 21 containing metal whose standard electrode potential is smaller than that of the metal of the metallic salt compound can be formed in a region adjacent to the sealing resin 14 in at least a portion of the light emitting element array section.
