PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide variety in effect, and arouse attractiveness of a player. SOLUTION: The device comprises: a symbol display means 21 in which a plurality of symbols continue fluctuating for a prescribed period based on detection of a game ball by a start means 15; an effect display means 22 for providing an effect display 40 in a different way from the symbol display means 21; a control command transmission means 59 for transmitting a control command based on detection of a game ball by the start means 15; a game state forming means 58 for forming a game state advantageous for the player in a case of a specific mode of the patterns after fluctuation; an effect control means 61 for controlling the effect display 40 based on the control command; a translucent shielding means 23 that is changeable between a shielding state to make it hard to recognize the effect display 40 totally or partly and a non-shielding state to make it easy; and a shielding control means 62 for changing the shielding means between the shielding state and the non-shielding sate if there is high probability for the symbols after fluctuation to form a specific mode based on the control command.
