PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an undergarment whose silhouette can be delicately adjusted without distinction of the types thereof such as trousers and skirts, designed so as to be facilitated in processing such as hemming work, and having excellent durability. SOLUTION: The undergarment 10 has the following structure: a slit 14 is extended from the hem edge 12b up the waste top 12c; clasps 16 are attached to one edge part 14a of the slit 14 in parallel at specified intervals P; and a plurality of hooking yarns 18 are attached along the other edge part 14b of the slit 14 almost in parallel to each other. Such a structure as stated above enables delicate adjustment of the silhouette of the undergarment 10. Cutting the undergarment 10 between the adjacent clasps 16 results in that the hemming work for the undergarment can be performed in the same manner as that for a general undergarment without any special treatment while maintaining the opening/closing function of the slit 14. In addition, there is no fear that the opening/closing structure of the slit 14 is easily ruptured even if stress is repeatedly applied thereto by washing or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
