<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can suppress a flicker phenomenon without increasing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The display device is a passive matrix type having a pixel formed at each intersection of a plurality of cathodes 1 extended in a row direction and a plurality of anodes 2 extended in a column direction; wherein the cathode 1 has an electrode portion 3 protruding in the column direction at the intersection with the anode 2, the protruding direction of the electrode portion 3 disposed in an intersection with an odd-numbered anode 2 is opposite from the protruding direction of the electrode portion 3 disposed in an intersection with an even-numbered anode 2, and the cathodes 1 are subjected to interlace scanning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
