PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform tilt control more appropriately. SOLUTION: A lens driver includes a pair of magnets 11, 12 having respective magnetization patterns capable of forming two different magnetic fields by two different magnetic pole areas arranged side-by-side in a horizontal direction, a lens holder 30 having an objective lens 31 and a tilt control coil having a relatively longer length along a reference direction attached to its side face, and a holding means holding the lens holder 30 tiltably between the pair of magnets 11, 12 so that the coil is disposed facing the pair of magnets 11, 12.
