PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hat size adjustment-assisting tool which can freely adjust the size of a hat in response to the head circumference of a person wearing the hat. SOLUTION: The hat size adjustment-assisting tool comprises a shape-maintaining plate 2 which is formed from a flexible and belt-like member having a width close to the width of a hat inside lower sweat band 13 and outward maintains the shape of the hat from the inside lower portion of the hat, a lifting member 3 having a plurality of arches in the middle portion, and an adjustment member 4 to whose inside one 5a of a pair of male and female adjustment tools 5a, 5b are attached. The shape-maintaining plate 2, the lifting member 3 and the adjustment member 4 are overlapped, fixed at the end portions, received in a protecting cover 7, and attached to a hat inside lower portion 17. When the size of the hat is adjusted with the size adjustment tool 5b attached to the back side of the sweat band 13 and with the adjustment tools 5a, the arches of the lifting member 3 are deformed with a pressure generated from the adjustment member 4, and the shape-maintaining plate 2 is thereby curved from the inside to support the hat inside lower portion 17 from the inside.
