PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for satisfying both of dispersion stability and image characteristics and further for forming a uniform film structure on media. SOLUTION: This composition comprises a block polymer compound having a hydrophobic block segment containing at least a unit structure of general formula (1) [wherein, R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>4</SB>are each independently H, or a 1-4C linear or branched alkyl group] and a hydrophilic block segment, and an aqueous solvent.
