<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing mechanism of a scanner unit, having simple constitution and capable of providing a sufficient buffer effect in opening and closing the scanner unit regardless of the weight of the scanner unit and providing a lock function at a closed position of the scanner unit and an open position of the scanner unit, an assist function when opening the scanner unit and a buffer function when closing the scanner unit. <P>SOLUTION: The scanner unit 3 is turnably disposed with respect to a recording unit 20, and the recording unit and the scanner unit are connected by a damper unit 10 provided with a holder 4, a rod 5 and a spring 8. The damper unit is disposed so that the acting direction of the spring is switched in the middle of opening and closing the scanner unit. The recording unit is provided with a guide surface 7 which can be abutted on a projection 5b disposed on the rod. The projection 5b is abutted on the guide surface 7 before the acting direction of the spring is switched in the middle of the movement of the scanner unit from the open position to the closed position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
