PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up automatic merchandise packaging by simultaneously executing a plurality of cardboard sheet transfer processes, merchandise supply processes, packaging processes, sealing processes, etc. SOLUTION: The automatic merchandize packaging process uses a transfer path composed of parallel rails for supporting a cardboard case and a transfer body provided with an attachment for transferring the case and being driven intermittently. A first cardboard sheet 2 is supplied to the beginning end of the path from a magazine part 1 and is formed in a vertical U-shape. A pressure rod is rocked and moved up to the back of the sheet 2 for moving the sheet 2 on the rails to the attachment so as to be held. Then the second cardboard sheet 3 is formed and moved just as the first cardboard sheet 2. The transfer body is intermittently driven to hold the U-shaped first and second cardboard sheets between the attachments and to be transferred to a boxing position 4. Merchandise is supplied simultaneously onto the bottom flap b of the first sheet 2 and the second sheet 3 for continuous transfer, packaging and sealing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
