PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-shrink packaging method for an article to be packaged which can stably join a heat-shrinkable film to the article to be packaged by uniformly heat-shrinking the heat-shrinkable film by using a heating medium of high heating value per unit volume, and also, which can easily package the article to be packaged over a short period of time without making moisture stick to the article to be packaged or the heat-shrinkable film. SOLUTION: In this heat-shrink packaging method, at least certain parts of articles 7 and 49 to be packaged are covered with the heat-shrinkable films 8 and 50, and the heat-shrinkable films 8 and 50 are closely joined to the peripheral surfaces of the articles 7 and 49 to be packaged by heat-shrinking the heat-shrinkable films 8 and 50. Thus, the articles 7 and 49 to be packaged are packaged with the heat-shrinkable films 8 and 50 by the heat-shrink packaging method. Super-heated steam is jetted to the heat-shrinkable films 8 and 50 which are covering the articles 7 and 49 to be packaged, and the heat-shrinkable films 8 and 50 are heat-shrunk.
