摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device in which a satisfactory spot is formed by suppressing the occurrence of a spherical aberration in recording and reproducing optical disks of different specifications, the spherical aberration generated by a thickness error of a cover layer in use is corrected, and the information reading of the different optical disks can be stably performed. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup device having at least a laser light source, an objective lens, and an optical detector is provided with at least two or more spherical aberration correction elements 8 constituted by holding via transparent electrodes the holographic high polymer dispersion type liquid crystals 15 prepared by dispersing liquid crystal grains 15a in a prescribed pattern into a high polymer resin 15b between a pair of opposite transparent substrates 11a, 11b on the optical axis nearer the laser light source side than the objective lens 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
